SCANIA OPENS ITS FIRST BUS MANUFACTURING FACILITY NEAR  BENGALURU.

Invests Rs.300 crore in manufacturing facilitites in Narasapura,Kolar District near Bengaluru.

This manufacturing will enable the company ti manufacture
about 1000 units initially this year and will employ 300 people in the first year.The engines for

the bus will be imported and the chassis will be built here in this facility.The current facility will also serve as an export hub for regions such as Asia,Middle East, and Africa over the next five years.The company aims to double its production capacity by 2500 units of buses and  5000 units of trucks and recruit about 800 employees by 
the end of 2017.They will also be manufacturing buses which will run on 
Bio Gas & Bio Ethanol.
